Cheeseburger
A classic cheeseburger with a juicy seasoned beef patty, melted cheddar, toasted buns, crisp toppings, and a quick ketchup-mayo sauce.
Method
- 01
Mix 600 g ground beef gently with 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Divide into 4 loose balls, then press into patties slightly wider than the buns, making a shallow dent in the center of each one.

- 02
Stir 4 tablespoons mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons ketchup, and 2 teaspoons mustard together in a small bowl. Slice the tomato, red onion, and pickles, and separate the lettuce leaves.

- 03
Heat a heavy skillet, grill pan, or barbecue grill over medium-high heat. Brush with 1 tablespoon vegetable oil and cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on the first side, until browned.

Flip the patties, place a slice of cheddar on each one, and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the cheese melts and the beef is cooked through. Toast the split buns cut-side down during the final minute.

Spread sauce on the toasted buns. Layer lettuce, tomato, a cheese-topped beef patty, red onion, and pickles on each bottom bun, close with the top buns, and serve immediately.
